Etymology[edit | edit source]
Vardilmë is a Quenya name. Its meaning is not glossed, but Helge Fauskanger suggests it means "Varda-friend" and is a contraction of *Vardandilme with -(n)dilme as the feminine form of -(n)dil ("friend", "lover", "devoted to").[2][3]
