Morwen, Prince Aglahad's granddaughter?[edit source]

I have a presumption for the ancestry of Morwen. It is told, that Morwen's father was part of the Princely House of Belfalas. I think it's possible, that he was a son auf Prince Aglahad. Well, and the vital statistics of Aglahad underpin my thesis. Aglahad lived from 2827 to 2932 and got his heir Angelimir in 2866. Take now, that Morwen's father was born arround 2870, this fits perfectly with Morwen's date of birth 2922, particularly as the family tree shows that the DĂșnedain of Belfalas founded a family mostly between 40 or 50 years. Now my question is whether these well-founded assumption should be explicitly mentioned in the text, or whether the whole thing is too speculative. --Sigismond 16:42, 23 June 2008 (EDT)

I'd say no. Maybe "it's possible", but it borders fanwank. -- Ederchil 10:04, 24 June 2008 (EDT)

Okay, I accept your objection. --Sigismond 06:10, 25 June 2008 (EDT)

Morwen's death date[edit source]

Is it possible that Morwen Steelsheen, Queen of Rohan and wife of Thengel, died in TA 2978. It's stated in Appendix A that at the time of the War of the Ring that Rohan had been without a queen for "40 years". This is mentioned with Elfhild, wife of Theoden. However, Thengel was still alive in 2978, when his grandson Theodred was born, and would not die for another two years. To me, this indicates that Theoden never had a queen, and that his mother died the same year as his wife.

Renaming the article[edit source]

I propose that we rename this article in accordance with previous examples such as this (i.e. Galdor of the Tree, Nimloth of Doriath, etc.) - for example we could name it Morwen (Queen of Rohan), Morwen (wife of Thengel), Morwen (mother of Theoden), or something else completely. I think it is fine as it is. As far as I can see, Steelsheen is a personal name that we are not adding on porpouse, unlike the false titles of the articles you mention. --LorenzoCB 19:41, 23 October 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah, now that I've thought about it more, I agree. Never mind. IvarTheBoneless 21:12, 23 October 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
