fanmade[edit source]

This is a fanmade title. There is no mention to a "Lord of Ladros" (capitalised). It is mentioned as the "lord of Ladros" but due to the lower-case, Tolkien did not wish for this concept to stand as a seperate title altogether. --Yeyeye 03:56, 12 April 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It's not that important. We do have articles about definite concepts that don't have a definite name. Also there are some titles that are inconsistenly shown with or without a capital (like lord of Nargothrond). There does seem to be a lordship of Ladros so it deserves an article. I believe you are looking at this far too deeply. Capitalisation of titles and occupations is dependent on the context of the sentence and the rules vary for each circumstance. For instance I would write "Donald Trump is the president of the United States" or "the consul of that year was Caesar". Just because there is no capital does not mean that the concept of that title does not exist.
Lord of Ladros does not sound too far fetch, Tolkien often uses lord, lady, chieftain etc. to denote individuals of leadership or ruler-ship, a far more fanmade title would be something like Archlord of Ladros or Protector-Lord of Ladros. Gaetano 13:43, 13 April 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
