There is a mention of a poem of Tolkien in the Inter-University Magazine in The Tablet, 28th May 1927, p. 19 ("|Catholic Education Notes"):

The May issue of the Inter-University Magazine, in the production of which Father Martindale now has evidently a capable assistant, deals attractively with many matters of interest. – – and verses by J. R. Tolkien and Wilfred R. Childe.

So, aren't there any copies of this May 1927 issue of the IUM left? Seems certain that a poem of Tolkien is there. --Tik 17:18, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

Scull & Hammond have written some notes about Tolkien's poems in IUM. See their Addenda and Corrigenda (search for "Inter-University") and these two blog posts: 2 March 2012 and 19 April 2013.--Morgan 18:12, 3 December 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Oh yes, there it is, thank you! --Tik 18:18, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

You're welcome! By the way, I think the article (and related articles about the poems) needs to be amended according to their most recent findings. I haven't gotten around to it yet, though.--Morgan 18:30, 3 December 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
