Talk:Gondobar

Personally, I think every name of every character, city, place, what-not deserves it's own article, be it as short as one sentence or as long as a PhD-thesis. In this case you could write something like: Gondobar is one of the seven names of Gondolin. The name means Stone House and is of Ñoldorin origin. --Earendilyon 17:09, 30 May 2006 (EDT)

I agree. Someone searching for Gondobar most likely is already aware that it is another name for Gondolin and is looking for more information on the name, not the actual city. Redirects should be saved for words such as "Half-orcs" to "Half Orcs" or "J. R. R. Tolkien" to "J.R.R. Tolkien" and similar where the title means the same thing. --Hyarion 22:02, 30 May 2006 (EDT)
