From Tolkien Gateway

síma or isima means "mind, imagination, conception" in Quenya[1]

Etymology[edit | edit source]

Perhaps a possible PQ Root *I-SIM or *SÍ.

It is not clear whether it contains the ending -ma (sí-ma) or if m is a part of the root (sím-a).
