Olos (variant spelling olor) is Quenya for "dream, vision / of mind". It is connected to Gandalf's Quenya name Olórin.[1][2][3]

The word derives from the root ÓLOS.[3]

Other versions of the legendarium[edit | edit source]

In Qenya, olor also means "dream", with the variant spelling olórë (used in Olórë Mallë).[4]
