Oaths Fulfilled is the forty-fifth scene of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and the fifty-fifth scene of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (extended edition).

Synopsis

Gandalf and Pippin walk across the battlefield of Pelennor Fields, finding Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas. The King of the Dead demands to be releases which Gimli says is a bad idea, stating "Very handy in a tight spot these lads, despite the fact they're dead,". The King of the Dead reminds Aragorn that he had given him his word and Aragorn releases them then acknowledges Gandalf and Pippin.
