Greisinger Museum

The Greisinger Museum is a foundation housing the Greisinger Collection (GC), a private collection of art, literature and collectibles inspired by Middle-earth. The museum is located in Jenins, Switzerland. It opened on 7 September 2013 (it was under construction since mid-2008).[1]
Collection[edit | edit source]
The Greisinger Collection is Bernd Greisinger's private collection of items related to Middle-earth. A selection of the collection includes:
- over 600 original paintings by more than 100 artists inspired by Tolkien's works (including Roger Garland, the Brothers Hildebrandt, Alan Lee, Ted Nasmith, and many others)
- a copy of every impression of the UK first editions of The Lord of the Rings, as well as copy of each UK impression of The Hobbit from 1937 to 1999 (including many rare, signed books).[2]
