Gimilzagar was the second son of Tar-Calmacil. He was an ancestor of Inzilbêth, the mother of Tar-Palantir.[1]
Etymology[edit | edit source]
Gimilzagar is an Adûnaic name. Its meaning is not glossed, but Paul Strack suggests it likely means "Sword of Stars", being a compound of gimil ("stars") + zagar ("sword").[3]
