Erien
From Tolkien Gateway
Erien was the daughter of Fingon according to a very late, but ultimately rejected version of the legendarium.[1]
She had one other sibling, a brother called Finbor.[1]
Etymology[edit | edit source]
The name Erien is in Sindarin, but it has no clear meaning. A possible explanation of her name would be a combination of the Sindarin adjective er ("one, alone") + the feminine suffix -ien.[2]
An earlier, rejected form of her name was Ernis.[1]
