astar

Astar (sg. asta[1]) is Quenya for the months of the Númenórean calendars.
Typically, an asta had 30 days, with the exception of the two medial astar in the Kings' Reckoning, that had 31 days each.[2]
Etymology[edit | edit source]
asta derives from the Root SAT.[3][4]
