-yon is a Quenya suffix that has two meanings.

Used as a patronimic suffix.[1]

  • Yondo - "son, boy"

-yon2[edit | edit source]

Also written as -yonde, (from root YŎNO), for denoting a region, any (fairly extensive) region between obstacles such as rivers or mountains.[2]
