[edit] Welcome

Hello. When using names in possessive, there is no need to type [[Necromancer|Necromancer's]] instead of the more logical and simple [[Necromancer]]'s. Sage 08:58, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for the tip. --75.118.149.152 16:17, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

[edit] Fourth Age

Hello, I am not one of those responsible for the name-change, but this is my guess: as far as you can see, in the Fourth Age there is a divergence between the Shire Reckoning and the reckoning of Gondor. So it is a matter of convention which one we will use, Gondor's or Shire's, and the FoA pages here say they prefer the SR. The Prologue gives FoA 172 but also the SR date, which according to other calculations would correspond to Shire's FoA 171. Because FoA 172 is given as a canonical number in the primary source, they put a redirect to our preferred FoA 171 instead of having it as a blank deleted page. As far as I know, all other dates (should) already follow the Shire convention. See also Fourth Age 63. Sage 09:43, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
