Tumhalad was a field on the western banks of the Narog, bounded by Narog's tributary, the Ginglith. It is famous as the site of the last desperate defence of Nargothrond against the onslaught of Glaurung, a hopeless battle in which the Elf-lordOrodreth was slain.
