Tolkien Criticism: An Annotated Checklist is a descriptive bibliography of books and articles by and about J.R.R. Tolkien, compiled by Richard C. West.
The book includes some quotes from hard-to-find writings by J.R.R. Tolkien: (1) Entry A24 on page 5 quotes from the Preface published in The Ancrene Riwle; (2) Entry B109 on page 34 reprints the brief extract from a letter to Richard Lupoff first printed in Edgar Rice Burroughs: Master of Adventure.
A revised edition of the work was published in 1981 (177 pages, ISBN:978-0873382564).
