Telemnar's Kingship was one of Gondor's shortest and most tragic. He succeeded to the throne after his father Minardil was brutally slain in a sudden Corsair attack on Pelargir, but he was not to reign for long. After just two years on the throne, the Great Plague in Third Age 1636 came out of the east and ravaged Gondor. Telemnar and all his children died of the sickness; he was succeeded by his nephew, Tarondor (the son of Telemnar's younger brother Minastan).
