Tareg the Ilkorin was an Elf in The Book of Lost Tales.[1]:240

He appears only in outlines for the unfinished Gilfanon's Tale. In the later outline regarding The Awakening of Men, his hosts are said to have travelled North-westwards upon hearing rumour of the Gnomes. His hosts were joined by many of the lost kindreds.[1]:237

The later outline of The History of the Exiled Gnomes adds that Tareg's hosts found the Gnomes at the Feast of Reunion, and joined with the host of Nólemë along with the sons of Ermon. This host would later take part in the Battle of Unnumbered Tears.[1]:240-1
