The entry in the encyclopedia of Arda for the Undergate (updated 30 Januar 2012) confused the Undergate, which is a gate with brazen doors that blocked the entrance from the underground side passage into the Tower of Cirith Ungol with the stone door that partly blocked the entrance to this side passage that was called the Under-way from the main tunnel. This can be clearly seen on the first page of the chapter The Tower of Cirith Ungol in The Lord of the Rings and from the last few pages of the chapter The Choices of Master Samwise in The Lord of the Rings. This page in the Tolkien Gateway made the same mistake. As a consequence I corrected the page for the Undergate on Tolkien Gateway. --Akhorahil 15:31, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
