The statement that Ithilien was the only part of Gondor east of the river Anduin should be deleted, because South Gondor (Harondor) is also east of the river Anduin and was a part of Gondor during the history of Gondor and was deserted at the time of the War of the Ring. The statement that the river Poros was one of the borders of Ithilien should be changed that the Poros was possibly the southern border of Ithilien, because Tolkien does not show he borders on the map (except in the shire) and did not specify the borders of Ithilien. Also the statement about the northern border of Ithilien should be changed from "must have been" to "was probably". --Akhorahil 12:48, 20 September 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I am happy that the user Sage seems to have read my comments on the talk page. However just adding "(except Harondor)" to the statement that Ithilien was the only part of Gondor east of the river does not make that statement true and thus does not fix this error. Large parts of Rhûn east of the Anduin were also part of Gondor (see LOTR Appendix A (I) (iv) entry on King Ciryaher "The realm then extended north to the field of Celebrant and the southern eaves of Mirkwood; west to the Greyflood; east to the inland sea of Rhûn; south to the river Harnen, and thence along the coast to the peninsula and haven of Umbar." As a consequence, I recommend that the whole Statement about Ithilien being the only part of Gondor east of the river Anduin should be deleted. --Akhorahil 16:25, 20 September 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
