Talk:Emyn Arnen

The hills of Emyn Arnen were claimed to be "in fact, an eastern spur of the White Mountains" in some non-canon sources (The Tolkien Companion, The Council of Elrond), but no reference is given. And I remember reading that they were (or looked to be) cut off from Ered Nimrais by Anduin, something like that, indicating Emyn Arnen could have been part of Ered Nimrais ages ago.But ... I'm not sure. I can't find it anywhere in the books. I may have misremembered, but can someone confirm what I think I remember and provide a reference? I think this is worth noting.
