Her clan[edit source]

May Eldalótë be a Noldo? It's obviously that none of the Vanyar except poor Elenwë, who died in Helcaraxë and thus never reached Beleriand, took part in the Flight of the Noldor, and if some of the Teleri could join the Flight at least in theory, it's also unlikely since the published Silmarillion clearly states the Teleri took little (if any at all) heed of Fëanor's rebellious speeches. So, I think it's pretty logical to suppose that Eldalótë was neither one of the Teleri or Vanyar, but was the Noldo instead. --Ar-Zigûr (talk) 07:30, 20 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Your points are valid, but I don't think we can make clear conclusions. We know the House of Finarfin was pretty close to the Teleri, so Eldalótë could be easily be one, joining the Flight by love of her family, rather than by Fëanor's speech. Also, I don't remember any clear statement that no Vanya joined the Flight.--LorenzoCB (talk) 10:58, 20 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Move to 'Edhellos'?[edit source]

As with my previous comments on the Irime/Lalwen situation, I propose that we move this article to 'Edhellos', which was the Sindarin name of Eldalote - the reason being that she clearly went into exile, and that every one of the Exiles were generally known by a Sindarin name (even the ones whose stay in Beleriand was very short: such as Feanor, Argon and Amarthan). - IvarTheBoneless (talk) 22:05, 24 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
