2008 edition
A new edition was published in September 2008, followed by the full-cast dramatization in October. Tales from the Perilous Realm was 2008's "flagship book"; Roverandom was added to the compilation.[1]
Farmer Giles of Ham
In the book Farmer Giles of Ham, Farmer Giles, a simple man with an inflated reputation for killing giants, is called on once more by the people of Ham to do battle with the dragon Chrysophylax, who threatens to set Ham aflame. With the help of his faithful dog, Garm, and his mare, Farmer Giles tricks the dragon into going back to his home. Farmer Giles is then crowned king of Ham and sets up his court, Worminghall.
Leaf by Niggle
Leaf by Niggle is Tolkien's semiautobiographical work about Niggle, a painter who never manages to finish his masterpiece while alive, and is ridiculed by the town because of it.
The Adventures of Tom Bombadil
The Adventures of Tom Bombadil is a collection of sixteen poems by Tolkien (some attributed to Bilbo Baggins and Sam Gamgee) that range in topics from Gondor to hobbits. Some of the poems included in this book are mentioned, and even sung, in The Lord of the Rings.
