Sindanórie is a said to be the name of a "mythical region of shadows", situated at the outer feet of the Pelóri Mountains in Valinor.[1]
In her lament,[2] Galadriel said that out of a Grey Country (sindanóriello) darkness lay on the foaming waves between herself and Varda.[3]
Etymology
The Quenya name Sindanórie consists of sinda ("grey") and nōre ("land").[1]
