Primula Brandybuck (T.A. 2920 - 2980) was a Hobbit of the Shire, and Frodo Baggins' mother.
History
Primula was the youngest child of Gorbadoc Brandybuck and Mirabella Took. She married Drogo Baggins, with whom she had one child, Frodo.[1] In late S.R. 1380, she and her husband drowned when they went boating on the Brandywine River.[2]
Etymology
Primula is a genus of the primrose family of plants. It is the Latin name of the primrose and means "little first" because it flowers in early spring.
