Little Delving

Little Delving was a village of the Shire. It is situated to the north-east of the Westfarthing, perhaps north to its bigger counterpart, Michel Delving.[1]

Etymology

The name represents a possible Old Hobbitish form Lytel Delfing. It means "small digging".[2]
