Lhamthanc is mentioned, next to Gostir , in The Etymologies as a "serpent-name" and probably denotes a dragon. Otherwise Lhamthanc is not mentioned in any other known story.[1]

Etymology

In Noldorin, Lhamthanc means "forked tongue".[1]
