My dear Wordsworth,
Tuesday Feb. 25. Dinner at 7:30. I shall be in my room (Fellows 4) from 7 p.m. onwards. I cannot guarantee any entertainment, but it will be delightful to see you again. Yours J.R.R.T.
Notes
- Wordsworth added a note in red pen that reads: 'Flattering, don't you think, that he should write even before going to bed!' [1](in reference to the time of writing).
- His son Charles Wordsworth sold the letter in 2006. The money was used to purchase a billiard table.[1]
