Hugo was the eldest child of Bruno Bracegirdle, born in S.R. 1350.[1] In his lifetime, he was nototious for lending books from Bilbo Baggins, though he rarely returned them. After Bilbo left the Shire, he left Hugo an empty bookcase in which he could store all those books.[2]
