Fourth Age 8

Fourth Age 8 (abbreviated to Fo.A. 8 or F.O.) is the 8th year of the Sun of the Fourth Age of Middle-earth. Unless otherwise stated, Tolkien Gateway follows Shire usage in Appendix B for reckoning Fourth Age years: Fourth Age 8 was also known as S.R. 1429 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- Birth of Pippin Gardner, fifth child and third son of Samwise Gamgee and Rose Cotton.[1]
