Has there been any activity from the admins? I've seen activity from Morgan occasionally, but it seems like they have largely abandoned this wiki. Has anyone here managed to get in contact with them? Should we maybe begin trying to get new ones?Turiannerevarine 18:51, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

I'm in contact with Mith and he has plans for coming back and solve the pending work. A few days ago I asked him to make me an admin just for blocking spammers and naughty users, but he didn't answer yet. We could make a proper request, but it is pretty useless if there is no bureaucrat to give adminship. --LorenzoCB 21:17, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

Glad to hear you've contacted Mith, it will be nice to have a Bureaucrat back, at least to solve the work that has stacked up. I would happily support an official nomination for LorenzoCB, it would be awesome if we could have him as an admin. I agree with Grace18 to support a nomination of LorenzoCB to the role of an admin. He has acted as an example by active own edits with references, by discussing proposed edits and by patrolling recent changes without excessive micro-management and without excessive editing of other users' edits based on his personal likeing or disliking of the perceived relevance of contents. --Akhorahil 12:37, 8 December 2021 (UTC)

Not been here long but my few experiences with LorenzoCB have been both friendly and constructive, with Akhorahil's comments holding true too. So sounds good to me. Presumably this would be an "add an admin" rather than "replace an old admin" action? --GondolinFan 21:52, 10 December 2021 (UTC)

I agree with everyone about the lack of admins actively online, and I think that one is one of several issues that could be addressed. For example, the version of MediaWiki we are using is very old. On the topic of new admins, I agree that LorenzoCB would be a good choice for a higher role! --Oromë 01:59, 11 December 2021 (UTC)
