Ephel Brandir (also called the Ephel) was a settlement of woodmen in Brethil. It lay upon the hill of Amon Obel, in the forest of Brethil, and is where Túrin was taken when he fell ill. It was ruled by Brandir son of Handir.

Etymology

Ephel Brandir is Sindarin for "the encircling fence of Brandir".[1]
