Ephel Brandir (also called the Ephel) is a settlement that consists of the dwellings of the Men of Brethil. It lies upon the hill of Amon Obel in the forest of Brethil and is where Túrin was taken when he fell ill. It is ruled by Brandir son of Handir. Ephel Brandir is Sindarin for the encircling fence of Brandir.
