This category lists all Greco-Roman names. Although Tolkien used names of Germanic origin in his narrative to render names related to Westron and its wider family, it was not uncommon to use names of Latin origin, some of them in turn derived from ancient Greek. Furthermore, he made use of medieval French, Italian or Spanish names (hence the category is named "Greco-Roman" instead of "Greco-Latin").

These names refer usually to flowers of jewels.
