Arvernien was the coastland of Beleriand to the north of the Bay of Balar and west of the Mouths of Sirion. It was here (and eventually to the Isle of Balar) that the Falathrim under Círdan fled after the Fall of the Falas. Here also many Noldor refugees from the north took their abode, in the Havens of Sirion, including the Gondolindrim.
