Arantar (Third Age 185 – 445, aged 260 years) was the fifth King of Arnor, ruling 106 years, from 339 until his death. His name is Sindarin for 'King of Lords' (aran = king, tar = lord). He ascended the throne of Arnor on the death of his father Eldacar. Arantar was the great-grandson of Isildur, last High King of both Gondor and Arnor.

His reign was without any event. He was succeeded by his son Tarcil.
