Arador (S, pron. [ˈarador]; T.A. 2820[1] - 2930,[2] died aged 110) was the fourteenth Chieftain of the Dúnedain.
History
Arador succeeded his father, Argonui, when he died in 2912.[2]
His rule was uneventful except for the fact that he was captured and killed by Hill-trolls of the Coldfells north of Rivendell.[3] He was succeeded by his young son, Arathorn II, in 2930.[2]
Etymology
Arador's name is Sindarin and means "Royal Lord" coming from the prefix ara meaning "royal", and dor (a form taur) meaning "lord".
