Annael was a Sindarin Elf who fought in the Fifth Battle Nírnaeth Arnoediad and became the foster-father of Tuor during his early years in Mithrim. In order to seek refuge from the Easterlings, he lead a small group towards the caves of Androth. Later, he escaped Dor-lómin and joined Círdan, far south into Beleriand.
