Amon Obel

Amon Obel was a large hill in the Forest of Brethil[1] on which the People of Haleth built the settlement of Ephel Brandir, which became the main settlement of the Men of Brethil.[2]

Etymology

Amon Obel means "Fortified Hill" in Sindarin (amon = "hill" and gobel = "walled settlement").
