A Tolkien Book of Days is a blank diary featuring illustrations by J.R.R. Tolkien (first published in Pictures by J.R.R. Tolkien) and many quotations (from The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien) and biographic details.
Except for the introduction,[1] A Tolkien Book of Days was first published as The Tolkien Diary (Grafton 1992).

This handsome book of days can be used as a dateless diary and as a birthday book. It contains Tolkien's own delicate illustrations plus a wealth of quotations and biographical details - both from Tolkien's own life and from within his works.
