A note about notes[edit source]

Notes are really only if you need to explain something of an out-of-universe nature that doesn't fit in the narrative, not to quote a line from a source. For that, we can just use regular references and, if applicable, page numbers. --Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 18:22, 8 December 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Ah! Thank you, I'll stop using them. I thought they could be used to back up a summarized or paraphrased statement as evidence. I'll remove all the notes that refer to quotes from something in the Legendarium. Those can just be a ref then. Sorry about that, I was trying to be thorough and convincing. --Elf-esteem 00:58, 9 December 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Double spaces[edit source]

Please stop putting double spaces between sentences. Not only has it been outdated since at least the mid-20th Century - being a hangover from when typists tried to mimic the slightly larger space in printed publications - but it isn't recognised by our wiki software which will simply display a single space instead. You must've noticed that I remove them whenever you include them, and the reason for this is that they upset the operations of bots. If you could refrain from double spacing, that would be great. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 11:30, 19 January 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Although probably unintended, your tone oscillates between patronizing and pedantic. I will take this in the light that you simply want fewer mistakes to revisit. Understood. I did not realize my typing habit was an issue that negatively impacted the pages. I am sorry about that. I'll make an effort. I will try to look back through other pages I have worked on, too. --Elf-esteem 01:56, 20 January 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I am confused[edit source]

As you know, I am quite new using these type of websites to contribute. First of all i would like to thank you for all the advice you gave me in a positive kind manner. I didn't know how to reply to you, i just figured it now. You were not wrong about me, i am very naive indeed and as for the repeated mistakes, i guess im quiet slow in picking up and then i get confused. I am really enjoying adding more content with refs of course. Frankly, doing this is very therapeutic to me because i'm going through a bad time in my life right now and when i use this site, i only concentrate on using this website and i don't think anything about my problems im goin through. So i guess i need to pay more attention especially about the repeated mistakes for they are most definitely not done on purpose. Thank you for all your input u have given me. Hello and welcome! I am happy to hear back from you, and I hope you enjoy editing here. :) I am glad you did not feel picked on. If you have questions or need help, the admins are, obviously, very knowledgable about everything here, and other users will help, too. The vast majority of it, and by 'it' I mean everything we can do as editors, is in the Help files. So, when you have some downtime, to get your mind off things, read through them for anything you are not sure about. ^_^ --Elf-esteem 02:50, 1 April 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I shall take your advice and I have so many questions about many policies about content & image so i hope you can help me out in the future. Please feel free to comment on my (repeated) mistakes with hopefully atleast one example so that i can understand the mistakes more clearly or else i get confused for i take your critiques as positive feedback, Thank You. --Nienna-eve 22:44, 3 April 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I will continue to take your comments as positive feedback. Im sorry that you feel that i'm trying to manipulate you by playing on your sympathies because that is absolutely not my intent! I wasn't aware that if im a member on this website that i cannot be on another website as this for example sharing same info back & forth. I will try and spend some time reading the help files from now on. It is sad that it has come down to this but like you i will take your comments with good intentions. Thank you for preserving my previous works. Nienna-eve 10:39, 18 April 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
