Anduril[edit source]

Hi there! In regards to that Anduril image; we definitely want to make sure the infobox image is as accurate as possible. Do you happen to have a more zoom-in view of the sword from Peter Jackson's films? I felt like Irvan Rodriguez' illustration showcased the "Seven Stars between the rayed Sun and the crescent Moon" and "very bright, shining red and white with the light of the sun and moon" better than the previous image. Thanks for your help! Hyarion (talk) 23:24, 8 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Greetings! The issue with Irvan Rodriguez's illustration is that, while it is true that the "Seven Stars between the rayed Sun and the crescent Moon" element was done well, it makes Andúril look like it is made - or at least gilded - of gold, plus that giant blue gem has no place at all. Not the mention the fact that the Aragorn in that illustration is clearly in a dark place, thus there is no sunlight to make Andúril shine red in the sun. To answer your question, no, I do not have a more zoomed-in image of Peter Jackson's Andúril but, point of order, his version is more accurate overall than Irvan Rodriguez's. Also, it is consistent with the image of Narsil used on that page. If you are looking for a better image, though, here is a link to a decent one: https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-997354442b0929fbe3b2b425f5cf2e6d-lq
