Etymology[edit source]

Well, I can’t find my classical Greek dictionary at the moment. But it isn’t in my Latin dictionaries and I know it’s one of the components of glossolalia, which means ‘speaking in tongues’, where the other element γλωσση, ‘tongue’, is definitely Greek. — Mithrennaith 23:30, 14 May 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Λαλιά is definitely a modern Greek word for "speech", although I don't know its chronology. I doubt it has its origins in classical Greek but I might be wrong. Sage 14:30, 15 May 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
