Talk:Eorlingas

From Tolkien Gateway

The Anglo-Saxons used the -ingas root to denote followers, or a chieftainate. For instance, the Icelingas (or Iclingas), which were Angle followers of Icel; the Ǽledingas, which were Saxons of Glouvia; the Cerdicingas, Saxon followers of King Cerdic; the Oiscingas, followers of Oeric Oisc, King of Kent; and many others. I'm not sure whether I should make an article on this or not, and if I did what I should title it. Tolkien Gateway has Helmingas and Eorlingas. It could go in either or both of these articles, but I'm not sure. --Narfil Palùrfalas 21:01, 22 August 2006 (EDT)

It sounds like a good place would be ingas to me. Helmingas and Eorlingas could then link to the ingas article. I wouldn't be against just putting the content in both articles, but since there are multiple instances it would probably just be easier to keep everything in one article. --Hyarion 21:21, 22 August 2006 (EDT)
