I added a reference to the artile concerning the idea that the Ents are spirits. There seems to be no connection to the "Dryad" topic. However in mythology the dryads are spirits that are devoted to the trees and inhabit them. It seems that the "souls" Eru sent to become Ents can be described as "Dryads", although Tolkien doesn't use this term. Sage 23:33, 16 February 2014 (UTC)
