Talk:Downfall of Barad-dûr

Should we consider the "Downfall of Barad-dur" a thing? This sequence of words is mentioned only once in App B: "Gollum seizes the Ring and falls in the Cracks of Doom. Downfall of Barad-dûr and passing of Sauron." but it seems that the capital D exists only because it is preceded by a full-stop, rather than refering to a title of an event (cf. the "Downfall of Numenor" always with capital D). The "downfall of Barad-dur" is an event as is the "passing of Sauron" but neither would require an artile. Sage 17:03, 14 January 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

This should be changed to "Fall of Barad-dûr": In the title of the next section it is given "FALL OF BARAD-DÛR" and Tolkien also uses it (with capital F) in Letter 211 (p. 283). It is true that what is told here would be same as in Barad-dûr#Reconstruction, but can worth it: the fall of the mightiest tower on Earth is quite important.--LorenzoCB 17:44, 14 January 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'm happy to delete this but the links to it need removing. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 16:41, 15 February 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
