Talk:Bridge of Esgalduin
From Tolkien Gateway
In my opinion "Bridge of Esgalduin" only refers to Iant Iaur (Silm., ch. 16; and especially Index), whereas the stone bridge built by the Dwarves over Esgalduin at the Gates of Menegroth does not have a special name (Ch. 10: a bridge of stone; bridge of Menegroth, Ch. 22: great bridge), but might be called "Bridge of Menegroth" if anything in order not to confound it with Iant Iaur. But I haven't checked The Children of Húrin or Unfinished Tales, where the bridge appears, I suppose. --Tik 11:44, 5 August 2017 (UTC)
