Index talk:Tolkien studies publications by year
In case anyone wonders what's going on with this article, I'm trying to reconcile various bibliographies (see the references) of works relating to Tolkien. Years that I have gone through are separated by an empty space (although the latest years are still very scarce because of old bibliographies). Hopefully we can some day have an article and cover scan for each and every item of the list! --Morgan 16:59, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
Organisation and consistency[edit source]
A few observations on this article:
- At random, some listings in this article have an author next to them, some don't;
- Some articles have their locations next to them, some don't. Other articles don't feature;
- Within each year there appears to be no clear organisation, neither chronological or alphabetic. We should introduce an organisation and then tell readers that is what we've done;
- Who is going to clear all the red links that keep being created?

Scope[edit source]
I think this index would be for better use if it listed only books and journal issues on Tolkien studies. I'd remove Tolkien's writings (we already have Index:Writings by J.R.R. Tolkien), loose articles and books on other authors like Lewis. Lots of work. --LorenzoCB (talk) 11:04, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
