[edit] History
Not much is known of Eilinel. She was a fair and gentle maiden,[2] called Eilinel the White,[3] and was much loved by Gorlim.[1]
When her husband, a member of Barahir's Outlaw Band, was away at war, their house was plundered. Gorlim, returning home, could not find a trace of Eilinel. As Gorlim kept returning to their house seeking for his lost wife, Sauron tricked him by devising a phantom of Eilinel (who was already dead), and could thus capture him.[1]
