-duinë is a rare Quenya suffix used for rivers (of large volume).
Etymology[edit | edit source]
-duinë derives from Common Elvish duinē ("large river, (liable to flood surrounding land)"), from the root DUY (stem dui- "flow (in volume)"). [1][2]
